On Sunday, the United States Commercial Representative held talks with China in an attempt to reach a trade agreement on rare mineral flows.
The commercial representative of the United States explained that the talks with China were very positive, stressing that negotiations are currently in the middle of the road.
The US official said that the deadline for a commercial agreement with China is still under study.
Continuous talks between China and America
Last month, Reuters quoted informed sources that the last agreement between China and the United States, which was concluded in London, does not include rare ground minerals.
The sources added that Beijing did not obligate itself to grant an export permit to some of the rare specialized ground minerals needed by the American military suppliers of combat aircraft and missile systems.
On the other hand, the United States keeps export restrictions on China’s purchases of advanced artificial intelligence chips, fearing that it will also have military applications.
