Crimes of trafficking in people is a cross -border crime that constitutes a violation of human rights and its basic freedoms, and the Kingdom of Bahrain is keen to ensure the rights and safety of all persons exposed to exploitation in all patterns, as the Department of Combating Human Trafficking works to provide justice and fairness to the victim, protect and care for it after the crime and then take the necessary legal measures.

The Kingdom of Bahrain has signed a number of international laws and covenants that guarantee the rights of man and not exploit it, and the Bahraini legislator stressed at the status of Law No. 1 of 2008 regarding the fight against trafficking in persons, that trafficking in persons is one of the criminal crimes that is punishable by imprisonment with sentences ranging from five to ten years and a financial fine of no less than 2000 dinars and does not exceed 10,000 dinars and it is not permissible to be waived by the victim.

The Department of Combating Human Trade and Protection of Public Literature at the General Administration of Investigations and Forensic Evidence undertakes outstanding efforts in the field of confronting such crimes that affect people directly, through continuous cooperation and coordination with the specialized agencies in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Labor and Social Development and the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, Nationality, Passports, Residence, and other concerned authorities regarding receiving communications and exchanging information necessary to combat human trafficking crimes, in addition To the role of its field police in carrying out research and investigation work in all governorates of the Kingdom to reveal any victims who are exploited or forced into any work without their consent or restricting their freedom or violating the law, as the administration works to train and develop the skills and capabilities of this personnel in addition to its permanent cooperation with international bodies and organizations through attending meetings, conferences and seminars, and always seeks to educate society about the dangers of this crime by launching several campaigns through Various media, along with the distribution of multi -language educational brochures.

With regard to the victims of trafficking, full protection is secured against those who try to threaten their security in addition to providing a safe shelter, providing health and psychological care, and ensuring their rights to obtain legal consultations by providing lawyers and legal advisors to them, and securing their right to obtain fair compensation for the damage that they suffered from exploiting them and wasting their rights during the process of trafficking them in addition to facilitating their procedures to return to their homeland building On their request.
