With the issuance of the decision to implement the Bahraini fisherman’s law from tomorrow, Thursday, Bahraini fishermen expressed their great support for the decision, considering it a basic step to restore the sea to its people and protect marine resources from attrition, and stressed that the decision will address the problems of leasing licenses to foreign workers, which caused great violations and damage to the sea, stressing at the same time some practical notes to ensure the smooth application of the law.
Muhammad al -Dakhil: The Bahraini is the sea
“It is time to implement this long -awaited decision, and it is only valid, and God bless the efforts of our rational leadership, and enter it in a timely manner. The Bahraini fisherman law will resolve many things, and in particular renting licenses, because leasing licenses is the cause of destruction and attrition.”
He added: “We say that the sea will return to the Bahraini seas, and it must remain an authentic truly for the Bahraini seas. The Bahraini is the one who fears the wealth of his country, and it is the one who works to sustain it optimally.”
Al -Dakhil pointed out that the wise leadership intervention came at the appropriate time to stop what he described as “maritime terrorism” resulting from the unorganized fishing methods that foreign workers practiced, stressing the necessity of the patience of the fishermen until life returns to the sea as it was in the past.
Saleh Bahr: Ancestral dream is fulfilled
“This decision is one of the wishes of our ancestors who left, they wish this day to come, and I have special thanks to our wise government, to prefer them to implement the decision of the Bahraini fisherman’s license, because the reality of hunting will only improve through the implementation of this decision.”
He stressed that the sea for Bahraini only, stressing the importance of involving the children of the fishermen and their relatives in the profession to ensure its continuity for future generations, and added: “When we say that the sea is for the Bahraini, why?
Habib Abbas: The importance of gradient in the application
For his part, the seas, Habib Abbas, affirmed his support for the decision, but he called for a gradual application of the law to facilitate the introduction of the new Bahrainis into the process, and he said: “We support the decision that was issued, and we thank His Majesty the King for this decision, because the sea was greatly depleted, and it does not bear this large number of foreign fishermen who harmed the sea.”
Abbas suggested allowing the smart card to be used temporarily to gradually enter the sea, and said: “The new interior will not bear the life of the sea, difficulties and hardships, so we must train and teach it gradually.
He pointed out that the Bananish requires the presence of the seas for several days in the sea, which represents a challenge for the Bahraini fishermen compared to the extermination that enters and comes out on the same day.
Ghanem Abbas: The law is excellent, but it needs support
The seas Ghanem Abbas stressed that the law is an excellent step for all Bahraini sailors, but he pointed out the need to support fishermen through the work fund (Tamkeen), and he said: “The decision that was issued for Bahrainis, but we look forward to government support represented in the high cost of living and support the work fund (Tamkeen) for our monthly incomes.”
He added that the current ban that extends for two months does not take into account maritime reality and needs to be reviewed, especially with regard to the reproduction of fish and rare species.
Fadel Matar: The necessity of exceptions and flexibility
As for the seas, Fadel Matar, he indicated that the law has positives, but he needs special flexibility and exceptions for the elderly and the fishermen working in the Bananesh, and he said: “The elderly Bahraini cannot enter the sea, and its children do not want to inherit the profession, so what does he do?
He also stressed the importance of allowing the new generation to enter the sea early to gain experience, and added: “It is not reasonable for children to prevent under 18 years of entering the sea, this threatens the continuation of the profession in the future.”
He called for the reduction of penalties for small violations and a review of the maritime ban to be more compatible with the nature of the sea and the marine skills of Bahrainis.

Bahraini fishermen agree that the Bahraini fisherman law represents an important national step to protect the sea and marine resources, and stressed the need to provide government support, give practical exceptions, and gradually in implementation to ensure the success of the law, maintain the continuity of the profession for future generations, and achieve justice for Bahrainis in benefiting from the wealth of the sea.
