The French newspaper Lovigaru reported that teenagers were arrested on charges of planning attacks against Jewish temples and Eiffel Tower.
Thwarting a terrorist plan in France
The newspaper said that the two arrested teens on July 29 and 30 were under investigation on August 1 on charges of being linked to a criminal terrorist group, and the case sheds light on the escalation of the danger posed by extremist minors in France and the West in recent years.
She explained that the security vigilance to combat terrorism is an urgent necessity, especially with the continued danger of extremists to carry out attacks, and the authorities indicate that these constitute one of the most prominent components of what is known as internal threat, along with older and more isolated individuals.
The 15 and 17-year-old teenagers, who were born in Fall de Marne and Paris in 2008 and 2010, were arrested in late July as part of an investigation began in April 2025, and the two young men of two families of Arab-Muslim descent, and they met each other through a group established on the application of an encrypted correspondence.
Investigations revealed that the content of their talks was concerned, as they were admired by ISIS and spreading its propaganda, and discussed the possibility of traveling to join the fighting abroad, in addition to their research in possible offensive plans inside France.
