According to an official communication received by the Giza Governorate Operations Room, the accident occurred during the conduct of 4 workers from a private company executing the village’s exchange line project for a major prison closure, which led to the explosion of the pipe and their fall inside the drain.
The accident resulted in the death of the worker, Imad M (46 years old), from the village of Behbet, where his body was transferred to the morgue of Al -Ayyat Hospital at the disposal of the Public Prosecution, and the 3 injured were transferred to the same hospital, including a serious case, and two cases in a relative improvement.
