The ministerial committee in charge of the Arab Islamic Summit shared on developments in the Gaza Strip expressed its strong condemnation and its categorical rejection of Israel’s declaration of its intention to impose full military control on the Gaza Strip, considering that this declaration constitutes a dangerous and rejected escalation, a violation of international law, an attempt to perpetuate the illegal occupation, and impose a fait accompli by force that is incompatible with the relevant international legitimacy decisions.
The committee emphasized, in a joint statement, that this trend announced by Israel comes as a continuation of its grave violations based on killing and starvation and attempts to forced displacement and annexing the Palestinian land and terrorizing the settlers, and they may rise to crimes against humanity, as it dispels any opportunity to achieve peace, undermine the regional and international efforts made to calm down and end the conflict, and multiply the serious violations against The Palestinian people, which faces over 22 months, face a comprehensive aggression and blockade that affected all aspects of life in the Gaza Strip and serious violations in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
In view of this dangerous development, the committee stressed the following:
– The necessity of the immediate and comprehensive endowment of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and to stop the continuous violations committed by the occupation forces against civilians and infrastructure in the Strip, the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
– Asking Israel, as the occupying force, to allow urgent and unconditional to enter humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, including sufficient needs of food, medicine and fuel, and ensuring the freedom to work for relief agencies and international humanitarian organizations in accordance with international humanitarian law and international humanitarian standards in force.
– Supporting efforts to the ceasefire, which is made by the Arab Republic of Egypt, the State of Qatar, and the United States of America, to reach an agreement to exchange prisoners and detainees, as it is a basic humanitarian entrance to reduce escalation, alleviate the suffering and end the Israeli aggression.
– The need to work on the immediate start of the implementation of the Arab Islamic Plan for the Reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and the call to participate effectively at the Gaza Reconstruction Conference scheduled to be held in Cairo soon.
– Rejection and condemnation of any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land in Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and emphasize the need to preserve the legal and historical situation in Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, while recognizing the basic role played by the Hashemite guardianship in this regard.
– Emphasizing that just and permanent peace can be achieved only by implementing a two -state solution, in a manner that ensures the embodiment of the independent Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, and its capital is East Jerusalem, in accordance with the principles of international law and the relevant United Nations resolutions.
The statement held Israel fully responsible for the crimes of genocide and the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe witnessed by the Gaza Strip, and calls on the international community, especially the permanent members of the Security Council, to assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities, and the urgent action to stop the Israeli aggressive policies, which aim to undermine the opportunities to achieve fair and permanent peace and eliminate the prospects of implementing the two states solution and achieve a fair and comprehensive peace, and work to hold immediate accountability for all the violations that take place It has Israel against international and international humanitarian law, including what elevates to genocide.
