Raed Al -Nasir, a spokesman for the Palestinian Red Crescent in the Gaza Strip, said that the recent United Nations report, which described the sector as a hungry region that reflects the tragic humanitarian reality, noting that food security has risked dangerously, causing numerous deaths, especially among children, the elderly and chronic diseases.

In televised statements, Al -Nasir said that Gaza residents live in extremely cruel conditions, as they lack food, drinking water and even daily uses water, pointing out that some commercial commodities started entering, but the absence of cash liquidity among many families makes them unable to buy them.
Al -Nasir called on the international community to have urgent intervention, open the crossings and allow humanitarian aid to flow, stressing that the use of food as a weapon against civilians violates international humanitarian law.
He added that the Palestinian Red Crescent is working in coordination with its partners in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent movement to meet the humanitarian needs, but the size of the catastrophe requires a wide and fast international move to save the lives of millions in the sector.
