The 20th caravan of Egyptian humanitarian aid directed to the Gaza Strip, in the framework of the continuous support that Cairo provides to the Palestinian people, started today, after its alignment and completion of all procedures for preparing them during the past hours, according to Cairo News Channel.
The 20th humanitarian aid convoy from Egypt to the Gaza Strip
The convoy moved from the waiting area in front of the Rafah land crossing heading to the Kerem Abu Salem crossing, where it includes dozens of trucks loaded with basic foodstuffs, medicines, and urgent medical supplies, in addition to various covers, tents and relief supplies, directed to families affected inside the sector.
The twentieth convoy comes as a continuation of Egypt’s continuous efforts, after it succeeded in introducing 19 previous convoys during the past months that carried thousands of tons of aid that was distributed through humanitarian organizations in coordination with the Palestinian authorities and international bodies.
The Egyptian authorities have provided all logistical facilities to ensure the speedy arrival of the convoy to the Rafah crossing, while making the necessary security arrangements to secure the movement, reflecting the Egyptian state’s keenness to continue the flow of aid without interruption.
The launch of the twentieth convoy confirms Egypt’s steadfast commitment to the support of the Palestinian people in facing the harsh humanitarian conditions, and its pivotal role in coordinating and conducting relief bridges, in a way that reduces the suffering of civilians and enhances their steadfastness within the Gaza Strip.
