Mohamed Abdel -Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, participated in an expanded workshop with the Japanese company “Spriks” on the introduction of new curricula in the subjects of mathematics, information and communication technology (ICT), in the presence of Tsuni Ishi, the company president, and the work group responsible for cooperation with the Ministry of Education in the city of Tokyo, the capital of the State of Japan.
Teaching artificial intelligence in Egyptian Japanese schools next year
With regard to the information and communication technology subject (ICT), the curriculum has been prepared according to the latest education outcomes approved by the Japanese Ministry of Education for its schools, as it focuses on practical application after providing information, and pays special attention to programming education through programming electronic games, developing students’ skills to learn the basics of artificial intelligence that will be studied in Egyptian Japanese schools next year.
The workshop also discussed ways of cooperation with Egyptian -Japanese schools, where the teaching of programming subject was discussed next academic year, in addition to activating special mathematics activities within the Japanese activities in schools, with the aim of enhancing students ’capabilities in mathematics and addressing aspects of weakness, provided that the actual application of these programs starting from the academic year 2025/2026.
