The municipality of Sharjah called on pet owners to communicate via the hotline on the number 993, or communicate directly with the shelter of dogs and cats of the Environmental and Natural Reserves in the emirate, when they wanted to abandon their pets, instead of leaving them in public places or market perimeter. Adel Omar, Director of Public Health and Central Laborators, said through the “Direct Line” program that the municipality has recently monitored the circulation of video clips on some social media platforms, showing the spread of loose cats in the vicinity of the bird market and pets in the Jubail region, some of which are in a non -good health condition.
