The Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives, Ahmed Al -Salloum, praised the distinguished efforts made by the Survey and Real Estate Registration Authority headed by the name of Al -Hamr, and all the cadres working in the agency, praising the qualitative achievements made in the field of real estate trading during the first half of the year 2025, which reflected the attractiveness of the Bahraini real estate market and its continued growth.
He affirmed that the results achieved by the area of space and real estate registration during the first half of 2025 reflects the efficiency of the device and the effectiveness of its strategy in enhancing the attractiveness of the Bahraini real estate market and raising growth rates in it. He explained that the numbers registered for the past period represent a positive economic indication, as the value of real estate trading amounted to about 775.2 million Bahraini dinars, which exceeds what was recorded in the same period last year, in addition to the high number of transactions to more than five thousand transactions. He pointed out that registering the highest daily trading value on April 21, which amounted to 53.6 million dinars, reflects the vitality of the sector and the confidence of investors in the real estate environment in the Kingdom.
Al -Salloum explained that the real estate market witnessed a remarkable growth in multiple categories, which included an increase in homes trading by more than 14%, and a remarkable development in the apartments sector, in addition to the high turnout by different age groups, and a clear rapprochement in the volume of gender participation in ownership transactions, which expresses the comprehensiveness of the sector and its metaphor for various needs. He praised the efforts of the agency to keep pace with the digital transformation by simplifying procedures and providing instant data through its electronic platforms, considering this a basic pillar in improving the experience of investors and citizens, and supporting the principle of transparency that enhances Bahrain’s competitiveness as a regional real estate investment center.
He stressed that the House of Representatives, through its financial and economic committee, will continue to provide legislative and supervisory support for all initiatives that contribute to the sustainability of the real estate sector growth, and to enhance its role as a major engine for the national economy, stressing the importance of the continuation of the partnership between the legislative and executive bodies to ensure the achievement of the development goals of the Kingdom.
