The director of the Russian “Gamalia” Center for Epidemiology and Microbial Research, Alexander Gentburg, has revealed the expected date for the start of a new anti -cancer Russian vaccine, dependent on the advanced MRNA technology.

Gentburg said, in a press statement, that the first batch of patients with skin cancer (melanoma) is likely to start receiving treatment in the period between the end of September and mid -October, as part of a specific scientific action plan.

He added that the success of this technology may pave the way to expand its use to include other types of malignant tumors, noting that the next stage of the research focuses on developing medical software for treatment, in line with the complex genetic nature of some cancers, such as skin cancer and lung cancer with small cells.

He pointed out that there are other types of cancers that are characterized by less complex genetic properties, such as pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, and some types of kidney cancers, which requires a precise software preparation that corresponds to the nature of the nervous antigens for each case, and with the immune response to the body.

This vaccine is developed in cooperation between several prominent scientific bodies in Russia, including the “Gamalia” Center, the Herzsen Institute for Oncology Research in Moscow, and the National Oncology National Research Center, in a step promising to develop innovative and effective treatments against cancer.
