The Riyadh train project received the passenger No. 100 million, during a period not exceeding nine months of its launch in December 2024, to confirm the success of the project in turning into a basic pillar of public transport within the Saudi capital.
A qualitative achievement for public transportation
The train achieved a regular operating rate of 99.7%, which reflects the level of high efficiency in its management and operation. The number of passengers on the blue line alone reached more than 46 million passengers, followed by Al -Ahmar with 17 million, then orange with 12 million, while the other three lines collected about 24.5 million passengers.
A strategic project with a future vision
The Riyadh train is part of the largest public transport projects in the region, as it extends through six tracks with a length of 176 km, and includes 85 stations. The total cost of the project amounted to about $ 22.5 billion, which reflects the volume of investment aimed at developing infrastructure.

The project directly contributes to reducing traffic congestion, reducing fuel consumption by 400 thousand liters per day, in addition to reducing carbon emissions. It also establishes the position of public transport as a sustainable option that supports the diversification of the Saudi economy and enhances the quality of life.
