Representative Jamil Mulla Hassan said that tightening penalties for the Traffic Law is a step towards protecting society from grave traffic accidents, as the Traffic Law constitutes a great importance in achieving road safety, mitigating traffic accidents, and protecting the lives of citizens and residents in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the tightening of the sanctions in the Traffic Law is a translation of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and is offset by the support of a representative and community in order to deter the violators. And direct them to comply with traffic safety rules.
He stated that the issuance of the royal decree to amend the Traffic Law comes in light of the continuous development of the world for its legislation and application frankly by raising fines on violations that directly relate to the safety and life of road users, and reduce recklessness with their lives, which achieves a more disciplined traffic system.
Representative Jamil Mulla Hassan pointed out that the tightening of the sanctions and the increase in fines is a deterrent to the lack of commission of serious violations, which provides a safe traffic environment and enhance the culture of social responsibility that falls on the family in the first place to coincide with these efforts with the role of the Ministry of Interior represented by the General Administration of Traffic to create conscious and educated generations committed to its laws.
