The Korean company Samsung has started offering its new ONE 8 software earlier in August 2025, via Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 SE.
These devices are the first to receive an update based on Android 16, in a move that makes Samsung the first company outside Google to launch this new version of the system.

The update is expected to be expanded to include a wide range of Samsung tablets and devices, but without official determination of the launch date.
Samsung has already started internal tests on many devices, indicating that the stable version is approaching in the next few weeks.
List of devices that are subject to the test
The current menu includes the following devices:
• Galaxy S Series: from S22 to S25 with various versions
• Galaxy A series: from A33 to A56
• Galaxy M and F series: such as M35 and F34
• Galaxy Tab S: From S9 to S10
• Foldable devices: Galaxy Z Fold and FLIP from the fourth generation to the sixth
It is noteworthy that it is only the Galaxy S25 series that got the general trial version of the update, while the rest of the devices are still under internal experimentation.
No official dates yet, but the offering is soon
Although Samsung has not announced a precise timetable for the start of the distribution, the company confirmed that the update will start during the “summer this year”, indicating a stable, imminent presentation that may start during August or September at the latest.
Update may be the last for some devices
As Samsung continues to adopt the limited update policy for some chains, the One UI 8 is expected to be the last update of many medium -class phones such as Galaxy A53 and A33.
Experts advise users to update as soon as they are available to make the most of the new security features and improvements.
