The National Railways Authority of Egypt announced that it had transported about 8,608 Sudanese citizens through nine trips within the voluntary return initiative for Sudanese brothers so far, with an average of 940 passengers for each trip.

The National Railways Authority Egypt opened the ninth train as part of the voluntary return initiative for Sudanese citizens to their country, today, Friday, August 29, 2025.
The train was launched from the sidewalk No. 8 at Egypt Station in Ramses, Train No. (1940) at 11:00 am, heading to the High Dam station in Aswan, with 940 citizens of Sudanese families who expressed feelings of appreciation and pride in the efforts of President Abdel Fattah Al -Sisi, President of the Republic, supporting the unity and stability of Sudan, praising the role of the Egyptian state agencies that provided them with ways Trips, in a way that reflects the originality of the Egyptian people and the depth of brotherhood bonds and solidarity between the two brotherly peoples.
Under the guidance of the team, the engineer, the entire minister, the Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, the Minister of Industry and Transport, the authority provided all basic means and services to provide the necessary support to the passengers and ensure a decent dignified travel trip, and it is expected that the train will reach the Higher Dam station in Aswan at approximately 11:10 pm Friday, where the competent authorities will complete the passenger travel procedures to Sudan.
The same train is scheduled to return with the number (1945) from Aswan to Cairo to serve the passenger audience on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 8:30 pm, to arrive at the Egypt station at 9:25 am on Sunday, August 31, 2025.
The National Railways Authority of Egypt confirms its continuation in providing all the necessary facilities for Sudanese citizens traveling through the initiative that reflects the authentic historical and human ties between Egypt and the sisterly Republic of Sudan.
