The Ministry of Education and Technical Education denied the validity of what is being circulated on some social media platforms regarding the failure to adopt the Egyptian baccalaureate, stressing that this information is absolutely incorrect, and is part of attempts to mislead and disturb parents and students.
The ministry said during statements to it in response to these rumors, that the Egyptian baccalaureate certificate is an official and approved certificate from the Ministry of Education, and it is granted to students who are successfully finished in this path, and is a complete equation for the high school diploma in terms of academic value and recognition within the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The new Egyptian baccalaureate system
The ministry added that the students with the Egyptian baccalaureate holder enjoy their full rights to apply for Egyptian universities and institutes, whether governmental, private or private, according to the rules announced by the Supreme Council of Universities every year, through the Coordination Office.
The Ministry confirmed that all certificates issued within the baccalaureate system are officially reviewed and approved, and that the path was launched within the education development strategy in Egypt, and is subject to accurate supervision from the ministry and is applied in a number of experimental and official schools.
The ministry called on parents and students not to be drawn behind the rumors, and to follow up official data only through the channels affiliated with the Ministry or the directorates of education in the governorates, while emphasizing that the Egyptian baccalaureate system continues and gradually expands as one of the modern alternatives to secondary education.
