The National Authority for the Regulatory of Health Professions and Services has announced the launch of the integrated electronic platform system for managing and organizing the pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical services sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which serves community members, health institutions and pharmacies, and approved drug agents and agents.
This came during the system launch ceremony, in the presence of His Excellency the team, the doctor of Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, head of the Supreme Council of Health, and a number of officials and employees of the health sector.
During his speech, His Excellency the team, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council of Health, affirmed that * the launch of a “medicine” system constitutes a strategic step that enhances the efficiency of the health system, and supports the march of a comprehensive digital transformation in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Excellency indicated that this system constitutes a qualitative addition to the digital infrastructure in the health sector, because it provides advanced mechanisms that contribute to accelerating procedures, ensuring the quality and safety of drugs circulation, and works to continue to enhance confidence in the health system, indicating that the “drugs” system is a practical embodiment of the future vision aimed at developing health services, in a way that ensures their sustainability and alignment for best international practices, and with what It contributes to achieving integration between governmental and private health institutions within a modern and advanced organizational framework.
In turn, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Al -Ansari, the National CEO for the Regulation of Health Professions and Services, stressed that the launch of a system (medicines) represents an advanced step in the course of the digital transformation of the services provided by the authority, and to continue to provide the health services system and meet the aspirations of the beneficiaries in line with the comprehensive development initiatives witnessed by the health sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The CEO of the authority explained that the “drugs” system aims to digitize and automate all regulatory procedures related to the pharmaceutical sector, including submitting requests, obtaining approvals and renewing the license, in a way that contributes to continuing to improve the efficiency of the services provided, by providing the time of completion of requests, approvals and innovations, enhancing transparency and the possibility of tracking in all transactions and ensuring compliance with national and international organizational standards, as well as providing tracking Immediate and case updates of the stakeholders, as this electronic system will serve all groups of society and health institutions, in addition to the approved drug agents and distributors.
Al -Ansari indicated that the “drugs” system includes a set of advantages that support guided transmitters and mechanical alerts, in addition to an immediate information panel that allows the follow -up to the case of demand and suspended procedures, a full audit record and activities records, along with a standardized standard structure that supports the future expansion of services.
Al -Ansari pointed out that it is hoped that the new system will contribute to a fundamental reduction in services processing times by 50 to 70 %, which contributes to raising the level of the beneficiaries’ satisfaction through the faster and easier delivery service, in addition to improving the accuracy of data and reducing manual processing errors, enhancing the ability to monitor and control all regulatory requests, raise readiness to check, simplify the process of preparing reports, and tracking performance through System analyzes.
