The first team, Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior, met this morning at the Police Officers Club, and in the presence of Nawaf bin Mohammed Al -Ma’wada, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, a number of mosques and clergy preachers, in the context of ensuring the promotion of community partnership strategy and constructive communication with all societal events and spectra, and based on the role of religious discourse in preserving the security and safety of society.
The Minister of the Interior expressed his thanks for the generous attendance for fulfilling the invitation, stressing that the security, safety and stability that the Kingdom of Bahrain is blessed with, thanks to God Almighty, and to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, may God protect and preserve him, as we are in the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by the wisdom of His Majesty, we respect all sects and coexist with other religions, praising the followers of the government His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him.
He explained that this meeting represents the approach of the people of Bahrain in communication and contributes to strengthening national unity and emphasizes the importance of working among the people of one country, in a way that enhances societal cohesion.
The minister pointed to the role of mosques preachers, through the universal word and the call to adhere to the teachings of the true religion and the authentic religious and societal values, praising the educational role and the noble message of the religious municipality in protecting young people and strengthening religious constants in light of the state of openness and the increasing societal challenges witnessed by the world.
The minister stressed that the security and stability achieved, took a great time and effort, and must be preserved, noting the role of preachers in front of people in this regard, through advice and calling for adhering to the tolerant religious values and teachings, which also contributes to preserving young people and protecting future youth and emphasizing the constants and values stemming from adhering to the teachings of our true religion.
He added that the religious pulpit represents an essential pillar in the state of law and institutions and a way to enhance national unity, which requires a focus on common values and work to educate society and enhance societal cohesion.
He pointed out that the platforms of mosques must remain preserved on their sanctity and their religious role in advice and guidance, including good for people, and it will not be allowed to be outside this context, stressing that the platform remains a mosque for Muslims, and in light of the state of openness and the challenges and targeting the world witnesses in its religious constants, the matter requires the establishment of the role of the religious pulpit in spreading the teachings of religion.
The mosque preachers expressed great thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Interior for his generous call for this meeting, stressing the importance of working to enhance the bonds of love and respect among members of society.
