The center added on its Facebook page that the Kalabsheh axis in Aswan is a new bridge for the development of Upper Egypt, which comes within the crosses that the political leadership paid great attention, to reduce the distances between the axes of the Nile, allowing a faster crossing between its two banks, with a distance not exceeding 25 km.
The General Authority for Roads and Bridges issued a media statement to clarify the facts, in a gesture of what was published on social media about the status of the Qaft/Qusayr Road, and this comes within the framework of the Ministry of Transport’s keenness to implement the state’s plan to develop the infrastructure of the road sector, especially in Upper Egypt, to link Upper Egypt governorates to the rest of the republic, and in a special way to coasts and ports on the Red Sea.
The road network linking Egypt and the Red Sea coast is a vital arteries for economic and social development, for its role in linking the valley and the Delta to the sea ports and tourist and industrial areas.
