The incident began when the security services in Sohag received a notification stating that shots in the new city of Sohag had a jewelry merchant called Bassem Tharwat Shenouda and his companions, which led to serious injuries.
The concerned authorities were immediately moved, and the victim and his facilities were shot in separate places in the body, and they were transferred to the new Sohag University Hospital for treatment, and the name of his last breath inside the hospital was affected by his severe injuries that claimed his life.
It turned out that the reason for the shooting of the victim and his companions was the theft, as they were carrying a large sum of money, according to those close to them.
The funeral of the victim was among hundreds of citizens in his hometown in the eastern Zouk village in the facility center, south of Sohag, and two suspects were arrested, and the necessary report of the incident was prepared in preparation for the presentation to the competent investigation authorities.
