The Al -Azhar Observatory to combat extremism warned of the growing indicators of terrorist penetration in the Latin American countries, after the continent, which until recently, was far from the circles of extremist organizations activity, turned into a new square based on the strategy of “individual wolves” and recruitment through the digital space.
The Observatory confirmed, in a report of the Spanish Monitoring Unit, that ISIS took advantage of its losses in the Middle East to republish its dark propaganda in environments less security, and more capable of its extremist speech, taking advantage of the fragile economic and social conditions, and the breadth of the gap between young people and educational and cultural institutions.

The observatory pointed out that these facts are not individual events, but rather reflecting part of a studied plan for the organization, based on “digital terrorism” that depends on encrypted electronic propaganda, and converting isolated individuals into time bombs that threaten security and political stability on the continent.
The Observatory concluded its report by certainly that facing this danger cannot be limited to security measures alone, but rather requires a comprehensive strategy that includes *fortifying minds, providing intellectual and spiritual alternatives attracting youth, and enhancing security and technical cooperation between the countries of the continent *, warning that leaving Latin America without a serious intellectual and development confrontation that may make it a new square to expand global terrorism.
