Dr. Badr Abdel -Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians abroad, made a series of contacts with his counterparts from European countries E3, Iranian and United States officials and the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency over the past days.
Iranian nuclear file negotiations
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Egyptian moves aim to create conditions for the resumption of negotiations between Iran and the United States on the Iranian nuclear file, and bringing views between the various parties concerned with the aim of reaching a sustainable settlement that takes into account the interests of all parties and contributes to reducing escalation, restoring confidence and creating a supportive climate to achieve security and regional stability.
These communications come within the framework of extensive efforts made by Egypt, in coordination with the parties concerned, to reach understandings that contribute to bringing the views and providing the opportunity for diplomatic solutions and dialogue, and to reach a consensual settlement for the Iranian nuclear file, and prevent escalation and alleviate the intensity of the crisis, especially in the wake of the activation of the mechanism of re -imposing international sanctions through the Security Council.
