Infantino said in statements reported by the official page of the Football Association that “Egypt is a country passionate about football, I had the honor to receive a phone call from Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of the Egyptian, and to meet my distinguished friend Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, with Eng. Hani Abu Raida, member of the FIFA Council and President of the Egyptian Football Association, in the northern coast of Egypt, one of the jewels of the Mediterranean.”
What did Infantino say about Al -Ahly’s participation in the World Cup?
He added: “We are working together to support and develop football in Egypt, the country in which the passion for the beautiful game deepens, you can look at the amazing support of a team like Al -Ahly, especially from its fans during the Club World Cup competitions in the United States of America, to know what football means here.”
The President of the International Federation concluded his message, saying: “Egypt is a country proud of football, and I am always happy with the experience of that energy and commitment here.”

Al-Ahly played in the Club World Cup hosted by the United States of America during the period from June 15 to July 13, and ended with Chelsea’s victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the final match of 3-0.
