Representative Hassan Ibrahim congratulated Issa Al -Shayji on the occasion of his victory in Al -Tazakah headed by the Board of Directors of the Bahraini Journalists Association for the new session (2025-2026), wishing him and members of the elected council success in performing their duties and enhancing the association’s role in serving journalists and supporting the national media march.
Representative Hassan Ibrahim Hassan stressed that Al -Shayji’s victory reflects the great confidence he enjoys from the press community, given his long career in the media work and his prominent contributions to the development of the profession, indicating that this confidence is a natural extension of the successes he showed during the previous sessions.
He added that the Bahraini Journalists Association is an essential pillar in promoting freedom of the word and professional responsibility, and keeping pace with the development witnessed by the Kingdom during the era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country’s great country, and what His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, attaches great attention to the media and journalistic sector.
Representative Hassan Ibrahim Hassan stressed that the House of Representatives stands alongside journalists and supports their noble message, noting that the Council has agreed during the past session of the Press and Media Law, which represents a qualitative step towards promoting freedom of the word and organizing media work in line with the finest international standards, and guarantees journalists more legal guarantees to practice their duties independently and professionally.
Representative Hassan Ibrahim appreciated the efforts made by Bahraini journalists in transferring the bright image of the Kingdom and highlighting its achievements, stressing that the parliament attaches special importance to the media as a major partner in the democratic march, and is keen on continuing fruitful cooperation with the Bahraini Journalists Association to serve the country and the citizen.
