Hyundai Motor and its subsidiary Kia announced today, Sunday, that their cumulative sales of environmentally friendly cars in the United States exceeded 1.5 million units last month.

The total environmentally friendly model sales of 1,515,145 units until July, 14 years after the two companies launched these vehicles in the largest car market in the world, according to the data of the two companies.

Hyundai plans to add a hybrid version of its pioneering multi -use sports car to customers in the United States, while Kia is preparing to launch the EV4 electric sedan.
In July alone, the two companies sold a total of 157,353 cars in the United States, an increase of 13% over the previous year, according to data.
