Today, in the context of the state’s relentless efforts to enhance comprehensive development and provide an integrated urban environment, the city of Salman is witnessing an unprecedented urban and service boom, which made it one of the most prominent modern cities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and this was evident during a field visit to “Al -Watan” to see the size of the completed projects to be implemented, where the representative of the second department, the municipal member Bassem Abu Idris, confirmed that these integrated projects are only the beginning of a promising development process, Pointing out that the city is going steadily to be a living model for modern sustainable cities that embrace man, and puts its well -being at the top of the priorities.

Specific housing achievements and religious and service urban expansion

Abu Idris said that the most prominent characteristic of the current stage is the completion of the construction of 1328 residential apartments within the housing projects, which have been completely completed, and it is now awaiting the completion of the administrative and technical arrangements made by the Ministry of Housing in preparation for distributing it to eligible citizens, which reflects the government’s commitment to provide decent housing for the Bahraini citizen.

He added that, in the context of supporting the religious and service infrastructure, work is currently underway to establish 6 mosques, including 4 mosques and a mosque under construction, in addition to the Sixth Mosque in the process of completing the procedures, and Abu Idris indicated that it is expected that two mosques are expected An occasions hall and 9 commercial stores on an area of 9250 square meters, and it is reported that these projects came as a result of a constant follow -up and permanent coordination with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Jaafari Endowments, in addition to that these mosques are accompanied by investment projects, where 18 to 19 commercial places attached to them are scheduled to enhance the economic movement, and provides direct services to the population.

The city is also preparing to lay the foundation stone for two important projects, a central supermarket with an area of 1600 m² and a central public market to provide families’ needs in a soft way.

A modern green outlet for the population

Bassem Abu Idris emphasized that the final drawings have been completed and presented to the bid for the establishment of a public park with an area of 27,000 m² in a compound of 580, and it is expected that it will constitute a qualitative addition to the urban scene, as the park will feature a modern design that includes wide green spaces, modern interactive lighting, sports fields, stalls, and comfortable sessions, which provides a natural outlet and service for families And residents, and enhances the quality of life.

Unified Government Services Center

In an important step to bring services closer to citizens, Abu Idris revealed that a land was allocated in a 580 complex to establish a unified government services center, which includes all official authorities such as Traffic Department, passport affairs, population card, etc., with the aim of facilitating access to services in one central location, indicating that although the project has not started its implementation yet, allocating the land is a first step in a promising national project path, indicating that solving this file and other The development files came as a result of constructive and fruitful cooperation with His Excellency Representative Jalal Kazem, within the framework of the integration of roles between the legislative and municipal authorities to serve citizens in Salman.

Promising future community projects

Abu Idris said that a land has been allocated with a large area to build a multi -purpose wedding hall, a vital project that serves all residents of the city and neighboring areas, and coordination will be with the relevant authorities to start its implementation “soon”, and an area of 8000 m² has been allocated to a central transport station, which enhances the integration of the public transportation network within the city, and reduces the burden on citizens who depend on mass transportation, especially after entering public transport buses To the city.

Environmental sustainability and widespread afforestation

In an important environmental dimension, the Ministry of Municipalities is working to enhance the green cover in Salman, where between 4000 to 6000 trees has been planted to this day, within the framework of a strategic vision aimed at reaching carbon neutrality and improving the quality of healthy and environmental life.

Priority education

In the educational sector, it is prepared to lay the foundation stone for a secondary school for girls with modern architectural designs overlooking the sea, in line with educational quality standards, and keeps pace with the aspirations of the Bahraini family in providing a distinguished education for its daughters.

Educational projects and the Misgunin Center and Al -Dossary spoke about the future plans of Salman City and its included land to establish the Coast Guard Center and establish a care center for the elderly, stressing that Bahrain pays special attention to the education sector, which is evident in city projects Salman Educational, where a number of lands were allocated in the city to establish schools and kindergarten, and it is intended to build two kindergartens for children in the city of Salman during the next stage, indicating that this achievement comes as a result of continuous follow -up from the municipal council with the relevant authorities, while regarding future projects, primary, preparatory and secondary schools will be established, indicating that they are currently in the stage of launching tenders. It is one of the promising cities that witness an accelerated urban growth, which makes it one of the vital sites that require the strengthening of the green area in line with Bahrain’s environmental vision and the achievement of sustainable development goals; Whereas, work is underway to develop and increase afforestation for Al Jazeera 14 in Salman, indicating that the number of trees that were planted in the first stage amounted to 3,230 trees, while the ministry began working on afforestation the second stage in the same island, where 2,035 trees will be cultivated, within the second stage. Regarding the gardens and walking projects, noting that a land was allocated to establish a garden that serves the people in the 581 complex, and that the municipal council continues its efforts to follow up With the concerned authority to expedite the construction of parks and livestock in the city of Salman. He confirmed that these projects are followed up and continuous coordination with the relevant authorities, to ensure their implementation in a way that serves the people of the city, and keeps pace with their aspirations towards an integrated urban future.
