The regional director of the World Health Organization of the Eastern Mediterranean Region, Dr. Hanan Belki, accompanied by the Acting representative of the World Health Organization in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Asad Hafeez, and a group of doctors, academics, health practitioners and health policies, has been briefed on the experience of developing health education in the center of skills and cluster simulation at the Arab Gulf University, during their participation in the round table work that the university hosted to discuss ways Enhancing health cadres training to combat antibiotics resistance.
The visiting delegation has expressed a clear interest in the developments taking place in the center, especially with regard to the use of modern simulation techniques in medical education, and their use to enhance communication skills between the doctor and the patient, and support clinical decisions, in a way that contributes to preparing more efficient and ready health cadres to face future health challenges, foremost of which is the resistance of antibiotics.
Participants also expressed their appreciation for the commitment of the Arab Gulf University led by the President of the University, His Excellency Dr. Saad Al Fahid, to provide an advanced educational environment that keeps pace with the latest global trends in health training, stressing that the Skills and Clinical Skoping Center is an innovative educational platform that contributes to supporting awareness and health education efforts, and highlights the vital role of practical education in limiting the spread of antibiotic resistance.
It is noteworthy that the Circular Skills and Simulation Center recently obtained the renewal of international recognition from the American Simulation Association for an additional five years, in addition to its newly adopting as a training center trained in the basic life support programs and the support of a cardiac life advanced by the American Heart Association.
The Arab Gulf University continues to implement its strategic plans to expand the center, to meet the growing needs of students of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, and enhances the quality of education and training using the latest technologies approved in the field of medical simulation.
