The administration of the Farouk Corner Museum in Cairo announced the presentation of one of the rare royal holdings, a gypsum doll coming from the State of Sudan, embodying an elderly man with brown skin and beard in which white hair is mixed, wearing a black cloak under which a white robes, and a white turban.
This supply is one of the distinctive pieces that reflects an aspect of royal interest in artistic holdings and popular figures from different countries.
A statue of wood for the Sphinx
The Farouk Corner Museum has already displayed a unique artifact, which is a statue of wood for the winged horror of the “mongoose” headscarf with gilded lines, and the neck is sweetened with a wooden necklace in geometric shape, and for the tail that wraps up.
The administration of the Farouk Corner Museum said, in a statement that the Sphinx statue is a symbol that combines the human mind and the power of the lion, which was taken by King Khafar, the owner of the second pyramid in Giza, and after him the kings of the middle state and the modern state, and its use extended in the Greek Roman period with the addition of legendary symbols to him such as wings to increase the symbolism of his powers.
The Farouk Corner Museum continues through its rare exhibits in documenting multiple aspects of the Egyptian heritage, to remain a living witness to the manual skills that the Egyptians have created through the ages.
