The UAE provided a unique experience in the political empowerment of women, which came as a fruit of its firm belief in its efficiency and its ability to achieve the positive and qualitative impact in the various sectors of work, and the active contribution to the sustainable development process witnessed by the state. The decision to raise the percentage of women’s representation in the Federal National Council to 50% in 2019, the approach of the wise leadership in promoting political empowerment of women, putting the UAE in the first place in the Arab world and regionally in terms of women’s membership in Parliament, and the fourth in the world, according to the International Parliamentary Union.
