Major General Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Wahab Al Khalifa, Director General of the General Traffic Department, stressed that the decree of a law issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, may God protect and preserve him, which includes fundamental amendments to the Traffic Law, reflects the Royal Royal Equity and the continuous government interest in preserving lives and property, praising the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince May God protect him, by tightening the penalties related to violations and traffic accidents that result in severe injuries or deaths, and the instructions of the team, the first of His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Traffic Council to take strict legal measures within the framework of the Traffic Law and its executive regulations, in a way that contributes to protecting lives, property and law enforcement.
He expressed the pride of the General Traffic Department, by praising His Excellency the Minister of Interior with the efforts made by the administration, whether through field control or awareness campaigns, which aim to consolidate traffic safety and enhance commitment to laws between all road users.
The Director General of the General Traffic Department pointed out that the amendments that affected the Traffic Law, according to the Royal Decree, represents a qualitative shift in the traffic system, and it establishes a new stage of commitment and discipline, and translates keenness to consolidate a responsible traffic culture, noting that the General Traffic Department will work on the effective application of these amendments, in parallel with the intensification of awareness and field control campaigns.
