Dubai Municipality has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Action in Dubai, aiming to develop the infrastructure of religious facilities, maintenance of heritage mosques, and to upgrade designs and readiness of Eid chapels, in a way that keeps pace with urban growth and enhances the heritage identity of the emirate, in a move that reflects the strategic directions of the Dubai government towards institutional integration and upgrading the quality of life. The agreement aims to unify efforts and provide an integrated vision for designing and building mosques and preserving cultural, religious and architectural heritage, as the Dubai Municipality will undertake the restoration and maintenance of heritage mosques periodically, which gives the heritage character and maintains its architectural and cultural components
