“Culture and Antiquities”: The continuation of the children’s cultural program in the Bahrain National Museum

The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities continues to present the activities of the Children’s Cultural Program, at the Bahrain National Museum since its inception in the beginning of August 2025, where in the last week it will host activities under the title “Bahraini Heritage Treasures” from August 25 to 27, from 9 am to 12 pm. Which will highlight the Bahraini popular heritage rich in customs and traditions, popular proverbs, and games, with the participation of Professor Aisha Al -Sulaiti and Professor Hajar Al -Fadala, as well as exploring the Bahraini traditional cuisine with Chef Bassam Al -Alawi.

In the third week, under the title “Art and Crafts”, the museum is witnessing various activities that review the artistic movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain, through an introductory tour of the Arts Center, along with the “Zain Dagger” workshop with the artist Shaima Murad and the “Water Color Adventure Adventure with young artists” with the artist Ibrahim Al -Ghanem. Children also get to know the traditional crafts that ancestors practiced on a visit to the Al -Jasra Center for the letter, in addition to the experience of drilling on a piece of heritage inspired.

The museum embraced the activities of the first and second week under the title “History Explorers” and “Archeology”. The first week included various activities, the most prominent of which was the session of “Young Site Inspectors” and “The Little Museum”, in addition to a tour of the Bahrain National Museum and the Museum of the Postal Department, and a number of educational workshops with a distinguished participation of the storyteller Mohamed Saleh. In the second week, the children participated in the traditional Dilmun pottery workshop and the Barbar Temple Development Project, in addition to a tour of the Dilmun’s burial hall, with the “Make pottery” workshop in a pottery factor

The cultural children program is a cultural initiative aimed at continuing to promote the national identity and promote cultural gains in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and confirms the commitment of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities to continue investing in children’s cultural and artistic capabilities, and consolidating feelings of pride and pride in their roots and national heritage, as well as enrich their lives through interactive experiences.
