Cairo University launches the Interior Excellence Award in preparation for the competition for the Egypt Prize for Governmental Excellence

Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel -Sadiq, President of Cairo University, participated in the meeting of the Committee of the Internal Excellence Award for Cairo University in its first session qualifying to apply for the Egypt Prize for Governmental Excellence, in the Ahmed Lotfi Al -Sayed Hall.

At the beginning of his speech, Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel -Sadiq welcomed the attendance at the prestigious Cairo University, stressing the importance of the Egypt Prize for Governmental Excellence and that Cairo University’s participation for the first time in the internal excellence award for Egyptian universities reflects its commitment to continuous improvement, consolidating the culture of quality, innovation, and foresight and governance, in confirmation of the university’s role in achieving Egypt’s 2030 vision.

The President of Cairo University thanked Dr. Ghada Abdel -Bari, Acting Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, members of the jury, and representatives of the Ministry of Planning for the Government Excellence Award for their efforts over the past months.

For his part, Ambassador Hisham Badr, General Supervisor of the Egypt Prize for Governmental Excellence, said that the award represents a continuous and continuous journey of excellence and aims to improve services inside Egypt and achieve economic competition, thanking Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadiq, President of Cairo University for his keenness to implement the government excellence system within the university, which confirms the university’s commitment to spreading the culture of institutional development, stressing the keenness of the award management to enhance institutional excellence within universities As it is an essential pillar of the development of society, and provides full support to universities in order to achieve leadership to have a positive return in capacity building and raise the efficiency of institutional performance and to become a starting point for forming work teams to manage the award internally.

For her part, Dr. Mona Hajras, the Assistant Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, pointed to the role of Cairo University in supporting the file of government excellence as the mother university in Egypt and that excellence is an endless and continuous journey and a continuous development station, and work to discover the new distinguished cadres, appreciating the efforts of work teams within Cairo University over the previous period.

During her speech, Dr. Ghada Abdel -Bari, Acting Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, praised the President of the University’s support for all the requirements of the award and his overcoming all the difficulties that faced work teams, noting that the work continued for four months and 60 libido and field residents were trained, pointing out that the award will become a culture present within Cairo University.

Suha Saeed, Executive Director of the Egypt Prize for Government Excellence, explained that Cairo University has been on the platform since the first course of the award and continued to be present over 4 courses through the College of Medicine, appreciating the university’s keenness to pay attention to the award file through its conscious and rational management, and its development of individuals and training work teams to manage the internal award, pointing to training two individuals from within each college at the highest standards to become ambassadors and officials On the file of their colleges and take care of their colleagues within each college.

Dr. Ahmed Siddiq, Director of Evaluation and Quality at the Egypt Prize for Governmental Excellence, said that Cairo University succeeded in training the human element in order to work to advance the level of the university’s colleges, praising the efforts of the work team to accomplish many tasks during a specific period of time, and thanked the Egypt Prize for Government Excellence.

During the meeting, Dr. Dina Yousry, director of the internal award project at Cairo University, presented an illustrative presentation on the award’s work and presented the most prominent statistics, where she reviewed the stages of the university project, training the award teams, and training 26 ambassadors, 22 accredited residents, with a total of more than 1080 training hours.

Dr. Hazem Sharaf Al -Din, head of the evaluation and quality team of the internal award at Cairo University, also presented a presentation of the results of the evaluation of the internal award, the colleges category, followed by the discussions of the jury.

During the meeting, Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel -Sadiq presented the university shield to Ambassador Hisham Badr and to the jury members, and he also honored the award teams, praising their efforts and distinguished performance.
