The Prophet’s birthday
In a live broadcast of Cairo 24, we met Ali Rabie, one of the most famous candy sellers in the city of Tahta, north of Sohag Governorate, who explained that the prices of candy this year start from 150 pounds per kilo, and increase according to the quality of the components and the quality of manufacturing, and added that there are varying packages in prices to suit different categories.
The seller pointed to the provision of special types of sugar -free candy, dedicated to the elderly and diabetics, to meet their needs without harming their health, noting that the demand for this type is increasing.
The shops are witnessing a great diversity in the forms of candy, such as the milk, the clip, the tulle, the sesame, and the chickpeas, in addition to the traditional brides, which still maintain their position despite the development of shapes and types, and merchants hope to increase the movement of sale during the coming days, with the approaching fragrant religious occasion.
