Bloomberg reported today, Thursday, that officials from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will go to Washington next week to hold consultations with the United States, amid increasing fears of the agency’s inability to determine the volume of Iran’s almost good uranium inventory in making nuclear weapons.
According to the report, this step comes after the agency’s chief inspector, charged directly from General Manager Rafael Grossi, failed to obtain Iranian approval to resume monitoring activities inside the country.
Diplomats informed of the situation indicated that this failure was a key factor in moving towards Washington.
