The Minister welcomed the members of the Council, stressing the need to continue the sincere efforts to enhance traffic safety for all road users.

In this context, he praised the decree of a law to amend some provisions of the Traffic Law, and the tightening of the penalties, which comes within the framework of the royal approach to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, may God protect and preserve him, in preserving lives and property and developing the legislative system, which is what the honorable government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Crown Prince, May God protect him, within the framework of working to protect public safety and reduce traffic accidents.

The Minister praised the positive field impact on the application of the provisions of the decree by law, public interaction and public awareness in this field.

During the meeting, the Traffic Council discussed the topics listed on the agenda, foremost of which is the executive procedures for implementing the decree of a law to amend some provisions of the Traffic Law, which entered into force on August 22, 2025 and included amending 12 articles and adding 4 new articles.

Where the General Traffic Department provided a summary of the executive measures that have taken it in this context, including the employment of modern technologies through the use of smart traffic systems in monitoring and tracking violators, and field control through intensifying security and civil traffic patrols in various regions, and continuous awareness through intensive campaigns to educate the provisions of the law decree, in a way that ensures effective application and contributes to raising the level of traffic discipline and reduce Accidents.

In this context, the Minister of the Interior, Chairman of the Traffic Council, stressed that the modernization of legislative regulations related to traffic and their tightening to control traffic and commitment to the law is an ongoing process to keep pace with the developments of the traffic safety system, and to build and consolidate a traffic culture, preserving lives and preserving property.

The Traffic Council meeting also touched on the preparations of the Ministry of Education for the new academic year, with regard to school transportation service, and is expected to transfer more than 50 thousand students through 700 buses, where coordination was made with the General Traffic Department to develop solutions regarding the expected traffic jams, and to hold awareness workshops for bus drivers before the start of the school year. In this context, the President of the Traffic Council stressed the need to continue to develop and improve the level of school transportation service in order to protect students and enhance public safety.

The Minister of the Interior expressed his thanks and appreciation to the members of the Traffic Council for their continuous follow -up and their extended efforts to meet traffic safety requirements, noting the importance of field work and the level of readiness around the clock to monitor traffic and work to flow.

This, Sheikh Hisham bin Abdul Rahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Holding Company, and Chairman of the Boom Board of Directors, signed a contract between the Ministry of Interior and Payon, according to which the General Traffic Department is provided with 500 smart cameras, high -quality and characterized by modern technologies and the ability to monitor various traffic violations, which increases increases Its positive impact on controlling traffic, providing an integrated system for monitoring, raising the level of traffic discipline, and modernizing the traffic system in general.
