Engineer Maryam Abdullah Amin, Assistant Undersecretary for Building and Maintenance Projects at the Ministry of Works, confirmed the start of the implementation of the construction work of the Bahrain and Kuwait Health Center in Qalali, affiliated to the initial health care centers, as part of the Ministry’s continuous efforts to enhance the infrastructure supporting the health sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and in a way that contributes to raising the quality of health services provided to citizens and residents.
The assistant undersecretary explained that the new health center is held on an area of 6,828 square meters, and it consists of a two -storey main building, where the ground floor includes 14 consulting clinics, 14 examination rooms, an emergency section with a capacity of 12 beds, while the first floor includes a childhood and maternity care section, 8 dental clinics, in addition to facilities for supporting medical services and administrative services.
She emphasized that all the approved health requirements and standards were taken into account, the highest engineering specifications were adopted, in addition to adhering to sustainability and green buildings, and applying energy rationalization systems, which contributes to preserving the environment and natural resources.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Building and Maintenance Projects at the Ministry of Works also valued the support of the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait for this vital project, praising its pioneering contributions to supporting national development efforts and embodying the principle of community partnership between the government and private sectors.
