An expanded campaign to purify and remove weeds from canals and banks
The Governor explained that the Central Administration for Water Resources and Irrigation in Assiut, led by Eng. Hatem Abdel Sabour, in coordination with the General Administration of Irrigation Assiut headed by Eng. Abu Al -Ayoun Arafat, implemented an expanded campaign to purify and remove weeds from a number of canals and banks, which included the Nag Hammadi Eastern Canal, and the reservation of Shaw, and the seizure of Bani Muhammad Balmamam Abnoub Center.
He pointed out that the works included lifting waste and removing weeds using specialized equipment such as rams, sandals, long arms and containers, to ensure the flow of water efficiently until the ends of the canals.
The Governor stressed the importance of coordination between the Directorate of Irrigation and the local units to raise the products of disinfection and disinfection immediately from the methods adjacent to the waterways, in a way that facilitates the movement of citizens and preserves the civilizational appearance, stressing that these efforts contribute to maximizing the benefit from the available water resources.
It is noteworthy that Assiut Governorate has allocated several hot lines in the Central Operations Chamber to receive citizens’ complaints around the clock across the numbers 114, 088/2135858, and 088/2135727, in addition to the unified number of government complaints system (16528) of the Council of Ministers, or via the electronic portal.
