Akram Abdel -Majid leads Nizwa Al -Omani in the new season

The Omani club Nizwa announced its contract with Akram Abdel Majeed, the former star of Zamalek, to lead his first football team during the current season, in a move aimed at enhancing aspirations and competing strongly for the Golden Square in the Omani First Division.

The signing of the contract came at the headquarters of the Nizwa Club in the presence of Khalfan bin Hamad Al -Zaidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and a number of members of the Council, in addition to Imad bin Awad Al -Mundhiri, the team’s director. Al -Zaidi stressed that the contract with the Egyptian coach came after a careful study of a number of CVs of national and foreign trainers, noting that Abdel -Majid has extensive experience in the Omani league and a distinguished training record.

The club president explained that Abdul Majeed has great experience and good knowledge of Omani football, along with a bright march as a player and coach, which prompted the administration to use his services to lead the team towards his goals in the new season.

Abdel -Majid started his football career in the Al -Mahalla municipality club before moving to Zamalek, then he played for the channel and Goldi, and he succeeded in scoring 75 goals in the Egyptian Premier League, 80 goals in the second division, and 22 goals in the Egypt Cup. He also won the Egypt Cup with Zamalek in 1999, the Afro -Asian Cup in 1998, and the Egyptian Federation Cup with the channel in 2000.

His accomplishments with the teams and his training experience

Abdel -Majid participated with Egypt’s first, Olympic and military teams, scored two goals with the first team, and is the historic top scorer for the Egypt Cup. On the training level, he led several Egyptian clubs, and took over the Omani Club of Saham in the Omantel League, and also supervised the Egypt -17 -year -old junior team, achieving distinguished results. Abdel -Majid holds advanced training qualifications, including a Bachelor of Sports Education and Training Licensing (A, B and C) from the African Union, and is currently preparing to obtain the Pro license.
