During the past hours, the artistic community was shocked by the news of the death of the artist Sayed Sadiq, one of the most prominent faces known in the roles of evil in Egyptian cinema and drama, at the age of 80, after a period of long absence from the artistic scene.

Who is the artist Sayed Sadiq?
Sayed Sadiq was born on June 18, 1945, and his artistic career extended for several decades, as the audience knew him through his participation in secondary roles, especially his perfect embodiment of evil figures and out of law, which made his features familiar to the Egyptian and Arab viewer.
Sadiq was distinguished by his strong physical structure that helped him play the role of the gangsman, the corrupt businessman, and the thugs, which established his image as one of the most prominent Egyptian cinema for many years.
Despite his preoccupation with art, Sadiq was also working in the field of trade, as he owned a private commercial shop for the trade of car cutting it since 1967, and he was staying in it until the last years of his life.

As for the reason for the disappearance of Sadiq from the artistic community, it is due to the inability of the artworks that are presented to him with his artistic history.
And the artist Sayed Sadiq did not retire from the art permanently, as the late indicated in more than one television interview a large period before his death, that he worked in the artistic field for 50 years, not to obtain money but love in art and acting.
Sayed Sadiq added that the lack of his appearance was due to the producers, the weak roles and scenarios presented to him in a manner that compares with his artistic history, as he decided to return to his pre -acting profession, which is the sale of luxuries, car accessories and bikes.

As for Sayyid Sadiq, the late artist left behind a great artistic legacy, as he participated in more than 257 diverse artworks between cinema and drama, during which he collaborated with the great stars and directors.
