After a transformer fire … the return of the electricity operation at its full capacity in Edfu, Aswan

Major General Dr. Ismail Kamal, the governor of Aswan, continued until the early hours of this morning, the return of life and the operation of electricity at full capacity in the cities and villages of the Edfu Center, after operating the transformer station Salwa in the village of Al -Hasaya of the Gray Navi Village Unit at about one thirty o’clock with a capacity of 225 MB, which yesterday was subjected to a limited fire in one of its transfers with a capacity of 75 MB as a result of the severe rise in the weather.

The firefighting teams of the civil protection succeeded in the fire and cooling work, after which the efforts of the technical teams from the engineers and workers in the Egypt High Electricity Companies for Distribution and Transport, under the supervision of Atef Kamel, head of the Edfu Center and City, Eng. Ahmed Sidqi, Head of Egypt High Distribution Electricity, and Engineer Sayed Farouk, Head of Egypt High Transport Electricity, in addition to managers and officials of the sectors and engineers of Aswan and Edfu.

For his part, the governor of Aswan praised the efforts of all the concerned authorities and work together in the spirit of one team to face the emergency crisis, which contributed to containing its repercussions in a short time to reduce the burdens on the citizens of the return of the electricity in light of the very hot wave that the country is exposed to.

He pointed out that the entry of alternative transformers to return the electrical current to the strategic locations, especially the main drinking water station in Edfu, as well as the Nile Specialist Hospital, was accelerated, in addition to the residential areas, which accompanied the maintenance of the maintenance prescribed today in the water network in Edfu for a week due to weather conditions and power outages, in order to not cut drinking water while carrying out the work of this maintenance.
