The officers of the Investigation Unit of the Tahta Police Department in Sohag, led by Major Ahmed Ismail – Head of the Tahta Police Department’s Investigation Unit, in Sohag Governorate, succeeded in controlling a very dangerous criminal component in possession of a quantity of the Shabu drug, a firearm and sums of money obtained from his illegal trade.

Details of the incident are due to Major General Dr. Hassan Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Interior, Director of Sohag Security, a notification from the Commissioner of the Tahta Police Department, stating that secret information had been received to the Department of the Department’s Investigation Unit that the accused a. A trafficking in narcotic substances, especially the Shabu, and promoting it among young people within the city.
The Director of Security assigned the formation of a criminal investigation team headed by Major Ahmed Ismail, head of the Tahta Police Department’s Investigation Unit, to prepare a tight plan to seize the accused in flagrante delicto, and after accurate monitoring and follow -up operations of his movements, the security force was able to set up a successful ambush that resulted in his seizure in possession of a large amount of the Shabu drug prepared for distribution, a firearm, in addition to sums of money obtained from his criminal activity.
Facing the accused, he confessed to possessing the seizures with the intention of trade and unlawful profit, a report of the incident was issued, and he was presented to the Public Prosecution to conduct investigations and take the necessary legal measures.
Major Ahmed Ismail stressed that the security campaigns will continue to control criminal elements and drug dealers, in order to protect young people from white toxins and to preserve the security of society, within the framework of security efforts to combat crime and protect society from the scourge of drugs.
