Arabella Welling, head of the awareness department in preserving the environment and the science of citizenship at the Emirates Nature Association, confirmed the pivotal role that young people play in building a sustainable future, noting that the slogan of this year is “local youth initiatives to achieve sustainable development goals and beyond” is completely in line with the association’s “Communication with Nature” program. She explained that the “Contact with Nature” program, which was launched in 2019 in partnership with the Environment Authority – Abu Dhabi, managed to reach more than 2.5 million young men and women, which helped to rehabilitate them to be influential leaders in the field of environmental change.
