According to Audity Central, the young man named Xiao Dong, in the third year at the University of Chiwacho, in the province of Fujian, during the summer vacation, was studying dishwashing and cleaning tables, and he spent long hours and his head was curved forward. Besides, he was spending most of his spare time in front of his phone screen, browsing social media platforms or playing video games.

Over time, he began to feel intermittent numbness in his neck, arms and legs, but it was not very interesting. However, on July 30, he woke up to find himself unable to move his legs completely, and losing a sense of most of his body from the rib to the bottom.

Xiao was transferred to the emergency department urgently, so that doctors discover the presence of a large blood clot in the cervical spine area at the C4-T1 paragraph. This stroke firmly pressed the spinal cord and led to almost complete paralysis. According to the medical diagnosis, the long curvature of the head caused a blood vessel inside the spinal canal, which led to the formation of a dangerous hematoma.

The young man underwent urgent surgery to remove the stroke and save him from permanent paralysis. After the operation, he has already begun to restore the feeling and control its lower limbs, while the doctors stressed that its full recovery opportunities are high if it continues the physiotherapy program.

Doctors warn that keeping the head curved for long periods may hinder blood circulation and lead to the swelling and expansion of the veins abnormally. This condition may develop from minor symptoms such as headache, dizziness and numbness to serious complications such as cerebral infarction or hemisphere.
