The Hurghada Festival for Youth Cinema announced the closure of the application for participation in the third session scheduled for the period from 25 to 30 September 2025.
The scriptwriter, Mohamed El -Bassousi, the festival president, said in a statement: The festival’s list of films includes a large number of first international show films, both within the competitions and prizes awarded by the festival, the tourist film competition that was created this year and the green award granted to the film, which supports the environment and climate.
The festival president stated that during the festival activities, the first stage awards for the scenario platform, launched by the Film Professions Syndicate headed by director Massaad Fouda in cooperation with the festival in a major celebration that specializes in this regard in the presence of a number of producers who will take over the winning scenarios.
For its part, the critic Jihan Abdel Latif Badr, the festival’s coach, revealed that the number of films that have applied for participation reached 600 long and short films, and they were liquidated by the viewing committee to 58 films from 30 Arab and foreign countries, including: Russia, Germany, Uzbekistan, Poland, Kazakhstan, Spain, the United States of America, India, Bahrain, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Morocco, Palestine and Italy Armenia, Mexico, Cambodia, France, Iraq, China and Lebanon, in addition to the Egyptian participation in all the various sections and competitions of the festival.
She pointed out that the festival will allocate within its activities a number of workshops and master classes for Egyptian and international movie stars and makers, pointing out that the festival shows and its activities will extend to the Hurghada Culture Palace, which will host the festival’s films films, along with some of the workshops for the film industry and the Master Class for the great stars and cinema.
