Our team won the top of the first group for the West Asian Volleyball Championship competitions after its superiority in the group determination of the group’s lead in the UAE team with a result of 3 runs without a fee (25-15, 25-15 and 25-18), in the meeting that brought them together at the end of the preliminary round from the championship competitions held in Bahrain during the period from 19 to 26 July, at the Isa Bin Rashid Hall in Isa Sports City.
Al -Ahmar dominated the course of the game throughout the meeting, and imposed itself and its preference strongly over the Emirati white, who tried hard to keep up with our team, in light of the great rush and the clear distinction of the offensive side of the Red plane in this confrontation, in addition to the influential messengers, and the defense in the back that gave the team the opportunity to use opportunities better.
With this victory, our team achieved the full mark with 6 points at the top of the first group, while the UAE team maintained its second position with a total of 4 points, while the Jordanian team came third with two points, and in the last place Lebanon without any point.
The last day of the preliminary round competitions witnessed Qatar’s victory over Kuwait with a result of 3 runs against two runs in a strong match that brought both parties, in addition to Saudi Arabia’s superiority over Oman with three clean, and Jordan’s victory over Lebanon by three runs against one run.
All the championship teams will be comfortable today, with the confrontations resuming next Wednesday in the quarter -finals of the tournament.
