Not every decision is read from its title, as some decisions are formulated to be a reflection of a deeper vision of the temple and organization, and from this section, the decision to establish the Women’s Committee in the media field is highlighted, under the generous sponsorship of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the wife of the country’s great country Community identity.
This committee, with its comprehensive formation between the official, civil, digital and academic media, does not embody the mere structure, but rather a practical intellectual project that goes beyond formal representation, to a serious accountability of the media content, the way women present in programs, drama, articles, and even in social media spaces. The media not only reflects reality, but also reshapes it, and the mental image of women is not an innocent reflection, but a message that is built, carried, and affects.
From here, the importance of this committee comes as a thinking room, not as a façade, as an area of reality analysis, and the proposal of the tools of development, training, and partnership with media institutions, for a more just image of Bahraini women, which is honestly not decorated, and focus on her intellectual and practical presence, not on their appearance or frequent stereotypes.
Behind this decision, a clear political will stands, embodied by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the wife of the country’s great country Others.
We are facing a project that rethinks the relationship between women and the media, the Bahraini woman is no longer waiting to be presented, but rather aspires to express, write her narration on their own, and participates in leading the media scene, not only in appearing in it, it is a delicate moment in which we need new content, which does not get the reality but rather it is fair, and a speech that shows the woman with her consciousness and contributions, not only with her existence.
If the committee succeeds in linking its visions to media institutions, and activating actual training and coordination programs, it will be a qualitative step towards a more balanced media scene, in which Bahraini women reflect their intellectual strength, rich experiences, and real aspirations.
So why is the Women’s Committee in the media? Because Bahrain sees in the media a responsibility not neutral, and because the leadership believes that empowerment is not complete except when the woman holds her image, and because Her Royal Highness, as we have entrusted them, make the difference in terms of many people do not turn … in terms of the real changes begin: in the depth of the image, the accuracy of the meaning, and the fairness of the presence.
