Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel does not seek to deport the Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, stressing that “no one will compel the Palestinians to leave Gaza”, and that “they have the right to stay or leave if they wish.”

In statements made, Netanyahu explained that the primary goal of his government is to end the rule of Hamas in the Strip, pointing out that Israel is working in full coordination with the United States to achieve its security requirements in the region.

We want to reach an agreement on Gaza

He added: “We and President Trump have a joint strategy based on cooperation, not pressure, we want to reach an agreement on Gaza, but not at any cost.”

He pointed out that efforts are also focused on ensuring that the Gaza Strip does not turn into a security threat to Israel, as well as seeking to release the hostages, saying: “I and President Trump agreed on the need to release the hostages, and that Gaza not pose a threat to Israel’s security.”

Netanyahu stressed that any options before the Gaza population are to stay or leave voluntarily, noting that “President Trump did not suggest the deportation of the population, and we did not put it too.”
