Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, confirmed that the ministry has succeeded in recent years in rebuilding the relationship with international sports federations, after a period of spacing as a result of the presence of a gap between the local league form, for example, and the international organized agencies.

Sobhi said, during televised comments: The element that represented the activity within the International Federation was sometimes lacking in coordination with the domestic league form, which created a kind of separation between the two sides.
He added: We were able to overcome this gap, by inviting all Egyptian sports federations, and building direct relations with international federations, which allowed us to have effective communication with the International Olympic Committee and heads of international federations in a spirit of understanding and sports diplomacy.
The minister pointed out that this openness contributed to supporting and developing sports activities locally in line with international standards, and enhances the opportunities for participation and influence in external forums.
